    CA Energy Consulting helps energy retailers understand their customers so that they can assemble a competitive retail portfolio in deregulated markets or a successful rate case in regulated markets. Because we’ve worked with utilities, both large and small, from coast to coast, we can cross-reference our customers’ data against our broad institutional expertise.     A large and growing body of utility data show that significant differences exist in how customer classes consume energy, value energy, and change their behavior in response price signals. Our staff has extensive experience working with customer data, including interval meter data, customer characteristics data, and customer survey responses. We have analyzed program participant information to help assess which customers are actively participating, which can help the utility market its program more effectively. In addition, we have conducted surveys that helped utilities evaluate alternative pricing programs, including estimates of customer valuations of specific program attributes and participation rate predictions.
